PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of ornithine and equol, a production method of a fermentation composition containing high concentration of ornithine and equol, ornithine and equol obtained by the production method, a composition containing high concentration thereof.SOLUTION: A strain of Adlercreutzia equolifaciens DSM 19450 was cultured in a culture medium containing isoflavones and dextrin, so that high concentration of ornithine and equol was obtained in the culture medium. After filtration of the culture solution, clear filtrate was dried using a spray dryer, and powder of a fermentation composition was obtained. In the result of analysis, the powder contained 5.0 wt.% of equol, 11.8 wt.% of ornithine, and 1.69 wt.% of citrulline.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】オルニチン及びエクオールの製造方法、高濃度のオルニチン及びエクオールを含む発酵組成物の製造方法を提供することを課題とする。また、当該方法により得られるオルニチン及びエクオール、並びにこれらを高濃度に含む組成物を提供することを課題とする。【解決手段】イソフラボン類及びデキストリンを含む培地でアドレクロウチア・エクオリファシエンス(Adlercreutzia equolifaciens)DSM 19450株の培養を試みた。その結果、当該培地にオルニチンおよびエクオールを高濃度に得ることができた。培養液をろ過後、清澄なろ液をスプレードライ装置にて乾燥し、発酵組成物の粉末を得た。分析の結果、この粉末中にはエクオール5.0重量%、オルニチン11.8重量%、シトルリン 1.69重量%が含まれていた。【選択図】なし
