PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a formulation for drug delivery whose modulation about solubility, stability, absorption, metabolism and/or a pharmacokinetic profile of a lipophilic therapeutic agent is improved by being formulated together with a sterol and/or a sterol ester and to improve bioavailability of the therapeutic agent administered to a patient who needs such a therapeutic agent.SOLUTION: A formulation includes a therapeutic agent, a sterol and a sterol ester, and furthermore includes a solubilizing agent and/or a promoter by an arbitrary selection. A pharmaceutical composition containing the formulation, the formulation, and a manufacturing method and a use method for the pharmaceutical composition are also described. When the therapeutic agent includes testosterone or a testosterone ester, the disclosed formulation is constituted so as to minimize synthesis of dihydrotestosterone.【課題】ステロール及び／又はステロールエステルと共に製剤化することによって親油性治療薬の溶解性、安定性、吸収性、代謝性及び／又は薬物動態プロファイルについての調節が改善された薬剤送達用製剤を提供し、そのような治療薬を必要としている患者に投与した治療薬の生体利用能が向上する。【解決手段】本製剤は、治療薬及びステロール又はステロールエステルを含有し、任意選択によりさらに可溶化剤及び／又は促進剤を含有することができる。本製剤を含有する医薬組成物、本製剤、並びに医薬組成物の製造方法及び使用方法も記載する。開示した製剤は、治療薬がテストステロン又はテストステロンエステルを含む場合、ジヒドロテストステロンの合成を最小限にするように構成することができる。【選択図】図１
