PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing a 1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-3- pyridinecarboxamide compound and pyrazole based compound as active ingredients and capable of exhibiting herbicidal effect on annual-perennial weeds for a long period with a small amount of the chemical. CONSTITUTION:A herbicidal composition containing (A) a compound expressed by formula I [R is H, vinyl, phenyl, O-R1 (R1 is alkyl or aralkyl) or (CH2)n-R2 (n is 1-4; R2 is H, halogen, hydroxy, etc.); R3 is H or lower alkyl; R4 and R5 are 1-11C alkyl, lower alkenyl, etc.; R6 is a substituent group on the benzene ring and is H, halogen, cyano, nitro, amino, etc.] and an addition salt thereof and (B) a pyrazole based compound expressed by formula II (R is benzyl, phenacyl, etc., having benzene ring unsubstituted or substituted by methyl; R1 and R2 are H or methyl), preferably at 1:0.5-5 weight ratio of the ingredients (A) to (B).
