The present invention relates to a composition for skin external application that inhibits the production of advanced glycation end products (AGEs), wherein the compositions comprise as active ingredients one or more of the extracts from fruits and branches of Akebia quinata. Specifically, the composition of the present invention has mitigating effects on skin wrinkles through the mechanism in which the composition prevents fibroblasts from cell damage by inhibiting the production of AGEs.
