PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which can achieve improvement in washing power.SOLUTION: A washing machine 1 includes: a washing tub 4 having a bottom plate part 4C； a water flow generation member 8； and a water passage 26. In the washing tub 4, an internal space 10 is formed in which a washing object Q is accommodated and water is stored, and the bottom plate part 4C opposes to the internal space 10 from a lower side Z2. The water flow generation member 8 is arranged on an upper side Z1 of the bottom plate part 4C in the internal space 10, and generates a water flow in the internal space 10 by rotating. The water flow generation member 8 has: a flat tabular top plate part 20 having a plate thickness direction which coincides with or substantially coincides with the plate thickness direction of the bottom plate part 4C； and a plurality of blade parts 21 provided on a lower surface part 20A of the top plate part 20, and extending so as to be separated from a rotation axis J by juxtaposing in the circumferential direction S around the rotation axis J of the water flow generation part 8.
