PURPOSE: A lightweight panel and its preparation method are provided, to reduce the weight, to improve the fire resistance and sound absorption, and to allow it to control the humidity. CONSTITUTION: The panel(30) comprises 100 parts by weight of the second rice husks powder with the size of 40-300 mesh whose oily component and moisture are removed by using acid aqueous solution and glyoxylic acid; 5-15 parts by weight of waste tire powder; 5-25 parts by weight of clay which consists of materials with the Seger cone above No. 26(1580 deg.C); 7-15 parts by weight of a chemical adhesive; and optionally small amount of calcium hydroxide and sodium silicate.
