PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed, capable of oscillating operation in the vertical direction at its central part in various uses.SOLUTION: This articulated bed includes: a peripheral tubular frame 1, two mattress support portions 2a, 2b articulated at the ends opposite to the respective ends of the frame, and articulated to one another at facing ends by means of a common rotating shaft 21 and a geared motor 3 assembled in the frame which rotationally operates a transverse shaft 4 provided with at least one crank 41 coupled to the common shaft 21 by means of a connecting rod 42 for the articulation of the two mattress support portions 2a, 2b, and transmitting a vertical oscillation to the common shaft 21 and to the facing ends of the mattress support portions 2a, 2b.
