Fruit harvesting mechanism by means of articulated folding arms. A mechanism for harvesting fruits that includes two folding frames, each formed by articulated arms (7) facing each other and presenting a leading edge (9) and an exit edge (5), where said double set of folding frames are joined on a subset of collection and tension of a tarp (15) or mantle that is attached at one end to the collection means and at the end end to the leading edge (9) of each of folding frames, where, the subset of collection and deployment comprises: a collection shaft (4), a tensioning shaft (3), a preferably hydraulic drive motor (1) and transmission mechanisms (2) of the motor drive (1) towards the collection shaft (4) ) and the tensioning shaft (3). Mecanismo para recolección de frutos que comprende dos bastidores desplegables conformado cada uno de ellos por brazos articulados (7) enfrentados y que presentan un borde de ataque (9) y un borde de salida (5), donde dicho doble juego de bastidores desplegables están unidos sobre un subconjunto de recogida y tensión de una lona (15) o manto que está unido en un extremo a los medios de recogida y en el extremo final al borde de ataque (9) de cada uno de bastidores desplegables, donde, el subconjunto de recogida y desplegado comprende: un eje de recogida (4), un eje tensor (3), un motor (1) de accionamiento preferentemente hidráulico y unos mecanismos transmisores (2) del accionamiento del motor (1) hacia el eje de recogida (4) y el eje tensor (3). Se consigue un sistema de intercepción de frutos derribados, mediante vibración de troncos o sacudida de ramas, y que además permite la descarga del mismo sobre un sistema logístico o de almacenaje de fruto
