PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a packaged boiled rice which comprises charging rice or the like and boiling water into a packaging container having an opening at its upper part and an outward flange-like heat-sealing part at the periphery of the opening part, and boiling the rice to obtain tasty boiled rice, and also which easily and reliably enables favorable heat sealing and hermetically-sealed packaging.
SOLUTION: The method for producing a packaged boiled rice having a lid material film 9 comprises: charging rice 2 and boiling water into a package container 1 which has an opening at its upper part and an outward flange-like heat-sealing part 4 at the periphery of the opening part, to boil the rice thereafter covering the upper part of the packaging container with the film and applying pressure on the flange-like heat-sealing part to be heat-sealed so as to hermetically seal the container. In the method, the lid material film is pressurized on the flange-like heat-seal part to be heat-sealed after water supply 10 to solid adhering matter 6 which adheres to the sealed surface of the flange-like heat-sealing part during boiling rice to make liquefaction 8 of the solid adhering matter before heat-sealing by pressurizing the lid material film after boiling rice, so as to hermetically seal the container.
