The device (1) has a tubular base body (2) provided for storing tea and comprising a longitudinal centre axis (6) and an upper filling hole (10) for filling the tea in the base body. A removal-opening (5) is provided opposite to the filling hole for removal of the tea from the base body. A bottom (3) is provided on the removal-opening for closing the removal-opening. A work area is provided at the bottom for wedging support of the bottom in the base body. The work area comprises a clamping portion, which is arranged in the base body.
