Disclosed is a granulated silica particle which provides excellent feeling of use especially when applied to the skin. This granulated silica particle is formed by using, as a constitutional element, a scale-like silica having a thickness of a primary particle of 0.001-0.1 µm and a silanol group (SiOH) per unit specific surface area of 20-70 µmol/m2. This granulated silica particle has an average particle diameter of 1-50 µm, and a compressive strength of 1-4 MPa.本發明係以提供一種特別是適合肌膚使用時,具有優異的使用感之造粒二氧化矽粒子為目的。該造粒二氧化矽粒子,其特徵為以一次粒子之厚度為0.001~0.1μm、每比表面積之矽烷醇基(SiOH)為20~70μmol/m2之鱗片狀二氧化矽為構成要素所形成,平均粒徑為1~50μm,壓縮強度為1~4MPa。
