[Problem] To more appropriately determine a part to be incised by considering the functional level of the liver of a patient.[Solution] A morphological image, which shows the shape of the liver including blood vessels therein, and a functional image, which shows the functional level at each point of the liver, are acquired. A blood vessel area, which shows a blood vessel controlling the liver, is extracted from the morphological image. Then, a specific partial area in the blood vessel area thus extracted and the controlled area of the liver that is controlled by the blood vessel in said partial area are determined. In this step, the processing for determining the partial area and/or the processing for determining the controlled area are conducted using the functional image.[Problème] Déterminer de manière plus appropriée une partie à inciser en considérant le niveau fonctionnel du foie dun patient.[Solution] Une image morphologique, qui représente la forme du foie comprenant des vaisseaux sanguins dans celui-ci, et une image fonctionnelle, qui représente le niveau fonctionnel à chaque point du foie, sont acquises. Une zone de vaisseau sanguin, qui représente un vaisseau sanguin contrôlant le foie, est extraite de limage morphologique. Ensuite, une zone partielle spécifique dans la zone de vaisseau sanguin ainsi extraite et la zone contrôlée du foie qui est contrôlée par le vaisseau sanguin dans ladite zone partielle sont déterminées. Dans cette étape, le traitement pour déterminer la zone partielle et/ou le traitement pour déterminer la zone contrôlée sont conduits en utilisant limage fonctionnelle.【課題】肝臓の機能レベルを考慮して、切除する部分をより適切に決定する。 【解決手段】内部に血管を含む肝臓の形態を表した形態画像と、肝臓の各位置における機能レベルを表した機能画像とを取得し、形態画像から肝臓を支配する血管を表す血管領域を抽出し、抽出された血管領域中の特定の部分領域および該部分領域の血管により支配される肝臓の支配領域を決定する。その際、その部分領域を決定する処理および支配領域を決定する処理の少なくとも一つの処理を機能画像を用いて行なう。
