The compost spreader has a tank with discharge passage and discharging the contents through the latter. A pair of outlets (9) are connected to the passage, and are adjustable to and from each other at right angles to the travel direction, and lockable in different positions. The outlets can be adjustable on a supporting portion of the chassis, and each can be on the outer end of a pipe telescoping one a further one, under the action of a ram.
