PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can quickly detect stuffiness or wetness when being worn and is gentle to a skin.SOLUTION: An extension part 21E of a surface sheet 21 exists between a vertical direction edge 23XE of an absorbent body 23 and a waist edge WE in a back side part 1R. An indicator 4 is arranged in the extension part 21E, the indicator changing a color by contact with moisture. A skin facing face 21a of the extension part 21E is covered by a cover sheet 35E having moisture permeability. On a skin no-facing face 21b side of the extension part 21E, an external body 3 exists.
