The invention relates to ultraviolet light absorbing compounds, their preparation and uses as protective agents and stabilizers in coatings, plastics and topically applied products. The compounds are ketone derivatives of 2-(2-hydroxyphenol) benzotriazole of formula I, where R1 is hydrogen atom, or a halogen atom, or a straight-chain or branched lower alkyl or lower alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms R2 is an unsubstituted or substituted aryl group or an unsubstituted or substituted straight-chain or branched alkyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms or a cycloaliphatic group having 5 to 6 carbon atoms and R3 is a straight-chain or branched alkyl or alkylaryl group or alkoxyl or phenyl or phenyl substituted with alkyl, cycloalkyl, carboalkoxy, chlorine or arylalkyl groups.【課題】紫外線吸収化合物、その調製法、並びに被覆剤、プラスチック、及び局所適用剤中の保護剤及び安定剤としての使用を提供する。【解決手段】本化合物は2‐(2‐ヒドロキシフェノール)ベンゾトリアゾールの式Iのケトン誘導体である。【化1】式中、R1は水素原子又はハロゲン原子、又は1~4炭素原子の直鎖又は分岐低級アルキル基又は低級アルコキシ基であり;R2は非置換又は置換アリール基、又は1~18炭素原子を有する非置換又は置換直鎖又は分岐アルキル基、又は5~6炭素原子を有する脂環式基であり;R3は直鎖又は分岐アルキル基、又はアルキルアリール基、又はアルコキシル基、又はフェニル基、又はアルキル基で置換されたフェニル基、シクロアルキル基、カルボアルコキシ基、塩素、又はアリールアルキル基である。【選択図】図1
