Disclosed is a face mask apparatus for delivery of a flow of breathable gas to a patient’s airways to provide improved ventilation and respiration. The face mask comprises a frame comprising a plenum chamber, the plenum chamber adapted with a connection port for coupling with a nasal delivery conduit. The frame comprises a single or double nares flow director within the plenum chamber, the flow director configured to direct flow at a naris of a user, the flow director in fluid communication with a gas supply port on an external side of the plenum chamber. Each flow director is adapted to pivot for adjusting a direction of gas flow from the flow director(s) by a hollow spherical joint. Each flow director comprises a tubular conduit or a directing surface.
