Disclosed is a respiratory mask system to allow for the treatment of both CPAP and high flow oxygen therapy concurrently. Pressurised air from a fan is delivered to a patient interface where the seal directs the flow to at least the nares or nasal region. The mask includes a second oxygen or gas directing means or nasal cannula including projections that conduct a flow of pressurised gas from a second flow generator or source into at least one naris of a patient for high flow therapy. The flow rate from the second flow generator is controlled to a setpoint or target flow rate by a controller with a measuring sensor.
