PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorber configured to effectively utilize the entire area for absorbing liquid.SOLUTION: An absorber includes: a recessed part 13 which is positioned in a central area C in a longitudinal direction Y and extends from the central area C to a front area A and a back area B in the longitudinal direction Y a first density part 11 which is thicker than the recessed part 13, has a first density d1, and is positioned in the central area C in the longitudinal direction Y and a second density part 12 which is thickner than the recessed part 13, has a second density d2, and is positioned in the central area C in the longitudinal direction Y. The basis weight of the recessed part 13 is lower than that of the first density part 11 and the second density part 12. The first density d1 is higher than the second density d2. The second density part 12 is positioned outside the first density part 11 in a width direction X and is positioned on an outermost edge in the width direction X.
