PURPOSE: A heat coating device of a cylinder barrel for a combustion engine and a method thereof are provided to improve the quality by coating the cylinder barrel of a cylinder block promptly and conveniently, and to prevent the cylinder block from being polluted in heat-coating. CONSTITUTION: Four collars(12) are moved through a crank case(10) of a cylinder block(6) to the lower part(9) of a cylinder bore(7), and plasma sprayers(1,2) are moved into two cylinder bores. Coating is sprayed to the inner wall of the cylinder bore with rotary spray heads(3,4), and a cylinder barrel(8) is coated. Air is supplied from the bottom through the crank case to the cylinder bore in coating, and streamed through the cylinder bore at the speed of 7m/s-12m/s. Pneumatic pressure of air flowing through a pipe to a fan is measured, and the rate of air flow is controlled.
