PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inoculation method for liquid spawn capable of stably filling the spawn while almost constantly keeping the supply amount of the spawn, and to provide an inoculation apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: The inoculation method for the liquid spawn comprises, as an inoculation process by using a liquid spawn jet mechanism 6, an inoculation process of inoculating the liquid spawn B mainly to the floor position C1 of a culture medium C in a cultivation container 4 and an inoculation process of inoculating the liquid spawn B mainly to the position of an inoculation hole C2 bored on the floor C1 of the culture medium C. The inoculation apparatus is used for attaining the inoculation method. The liquid spawn B can be thoroughly inoculated to each of the surfaces of the floor C1 as the surface of the culture medium C in the cultivation container 4 and the inoculation hole C2 hollowed and bored on a part of the floor C1 owing to the method and the apparatus, and raising hypha inside the culture medium C from the spawn is promoted.
