A system for mapping interluminal structures, comprising: an elongated flexible tool (102), an optical shape recognition device (152, 154) located in a flexible tool and configured to determine the shape of a flexible tool relative to a reference, the shape recognition device being configured to collect information based on its configuration for mapping the interluminal structure during the procedure, an ablation device (117) with the possibility of imaging, mounting at the distal end portion of the flexible tool or near it. 2. The system of claim 1, wherein the optical shape recognition device includes an optical fiber (152) having at least one of the optical fiber Bragg gratings (FBG) (154) and a Rayleigh scattering polling unit (154) for detecting deformation in fiber. 3. The system of claim 1, wherein the optical shape recognition device includes a region of higher sensitivity by including a region with an increased number of optical fibers (152) having optical strain sensors (154).
