Disclosed is a smart waistband device, which comprises a waistband unit, a rolling and propping unit, and a monitoring unit. The waistband unit includes a belt head and a belt body that surrounds a waist space. The rolling and propping unit includes a rolling element which is rotatable about its own axis and has at least one magnetic part rotatable relative to the axis. The rolling element can be driven by the belt body to roll, so that the magnetic part is rotated relative to the axis of the rolling element. The monitoring unit can sense the magnetic field change caused by the relative rotation of the magnetic part, and analyze the rolling condition of the rolling element according to the magnetic field change, and finally calculate the waistline information according to the rolling condition.
