PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latch mechanism for a surgical instrument.SOLUTION: The latch mechanism, which is a movable lever from an initial position to an operation position with respect to a housing of a surgical instrument, includes: the lever by which an end effector assembly of the surgical instrument is moved from a first state to a second state a pin extended from the lever a cantilever spring operatively engaged with the housing of the surgical instrument at a fixed end of the surgical instrument and a pin track member which is operatively engaged with the cantilever spring at a free end of the cantilever spring. The pin track member is formed between a first position and a second position of the pin along the pin track member to be able to parallel advancement.
