PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate and display a favorable diagnostic image with artifact removed even if setting a relatively wide display FOV.SOLUTION: A static magnetic field magnet generates a static magnetic field. A gradient magnetic field coil applies a gradient magnetic field to be overlapped with the static magnetic field to an examinee. A high frequency coil receives a magnetic resonance signal generated from the examinee. An image regeneration section 62 generates a reconstruction image in a reconstruction FOV of the examinee based on the magnetic resonance signal. A storage device stores a strain correction table of position coordinates formed by corresponding the position coordinates in the reconstruction FOV with the position coordinates in the display FOV included in the reconstruction FOV based on the gradient magnetic field intensity. The strain correction table is such information, when first position coordinates close to the center of the reconstruction FOV and second position coordinates far from the center of the reconstruction FOV correspond to the position coordinates in the display FOV, as to correspond the first position coordinates alone to the position coordinates in the display FOV.
