PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change an imaging range of a camera so as to excellently image an observation object.SOLUTION: A gaze point detection part 21 calculates the coordinate which a user gazes (sees) on a display screen of a monitor 3 as a point-of-gaze coordinate from an image of an eye of the user who observes the monitor 3, which is imaged by an eye camera 42 of a visual line sensor 4. When the user gazes a position other than a center area of the display screen of the monitor 3 for a prescribed time (for example, one (1) second) or longer, an observation control part 22 controls a stage actuator 11 of a microscope device 1 such that a position on a sample 13 displayed at the position which the user gazes is imaged at the center of an imaging range of a camera for microscope 16, namely such that this position is displayed at the center of the display screen of the monitor 3, and moves a stage 12 with the sample 13 together.
