The present invention relates to solidified sugar alcohol mixture containing maltitol characterized in that the mixture is comprising more than 70% w/w maltitol and less than 95% w/w maltitol based on dry matter of mixture and it is comprising from 2-10% w/w mannitol based on dry matter of the mixture and upon tabletting said mixture, a hardness of from 70 N to 220 N is obtained at a compression force of 5 kN to 25 kN,. It further describes the process for preparing solidified sugar alcohol mixtures and the chewing gum and tablets containing the solidified sugar alcohol mixture of the present invention.La présente invention concerne un mélange sucre-alcool solidifié contenant du maltitol, caractérisé en ce que le mélange comprend plus de 70% en masse de maltitol et moins de 95% en masse de maltitol sur la base des matières sèches du mélange, en ce qu'il comprend de 2 à 10% en masse de mannitol sur la base des matières sèches du mélange, et en ce que, suite à la transformation dudit mélange en pastilles, une dureté de 70 N à 220 N est obtenue à une force de compression de 5 kN à 25 kN. Sont également décrits un processus de préparation de mélanges sucre-alcool solidifiés, un chewing-gum et des pastilles contenant le mélange sucre-alcool solidifié selon la présente invention.
