The invention relates to a titanium-based Gum-type alloy comprising highly-biocompatible elements, used for making bearing implants, and to a process for preparing the same. According to the invention, the alloy comprises 100% highly-biocompatible elements, as follows: 63.53%Ti, 31.70% Nb, 6.21% Zr, 1.40% Fe and 0.16% O, the percentage being expressed by weight. The process, as claimed by the invention, consists in weighting and melting the set nominal amounts of Ti, Zr, Nb and Fe in a cold-crucible furnace, in levitation, the elements being introduced in the descending order of their melting point, vacuuming the melting enclosure and creating the argon atmosphere therein, after which, by increasing the furnace power, the alloy is melted at a temperature of about 2000°C, followed by ingotting by gravitational casting, achieved by sudden decrease of the furnace power, the ingot being then cooled under controlled atmosphere for 15 min, removed from the ingot mould and remelted in conditions similar to the first melting, in vacuumed argon-protected atmosphere, at a temperature of 2000°C, followed by gravitational casting in ingot mould, achieved by the sudden decrease of furnace power, followed by cooling the ingot under controlled atmosphere and removing the final ingot from the ingot mould.Invenţia se referă la un aliaj tip Gum pe bază de titan, având în compoziţie elemente cu biocompatibilitate ridicată, utilizat pentru realizarea implanturilor portante, şi la un procedeu de obţinere a acestuia. Aliajul conform invenţiei are în compoziţie 100% elemente cu biocompatibilitate ridicată exprimate în procente în greutate, după cum urmează: 63,53% Ti, 31,70% Nb, 6,21% Zr, 1,40% Fe şi 0,16% O. Procedeul conform invenţiei constă în cântărirea şi topirea cantităţilor nominale stabilite de Ti, Zr, Nb şi Fe într-un cuptor cu creuzet rece, în levitaţie, elementele fiind introduse în ordinea descrescătoare a punctului de topire, vidarea şi realizarea atmosferei de argon din inci
