Timber-decomposing mushroom brood cultivating method, involves preparing suspension of mushroom brood, adjusting mushroom brood based on certain pH value, and applying mushroom brood on cellulose-containing base substrate by casting process
The method involves preparing suspension of a mushroom brood, which is cultured on a cellulose-containing base substrate e.g. wood and straw bale, and water. The mushroom brood is adjusted based on a pH value of 6-10 preferably 6-8. The mushroom brood is applied on the cellulose-containing base substrate by a casting process. The base substrate is provided in a form of chips, splinters and/or granules, where grain size of the base substrate is between 0.5 and 2 mm. An area of a cross section of the wood piece is cut to about 50-90 percent by a chain saw. An independent claim is also included for a liquid mushroom brood.
