A mulching material for landscape architecture is provided to allow the shape of wood and charcoal powder to be maintained effectively. A mulching material for landscape architecture is prepared by mixing 100 parts by weight of a wood powder and 2 parts by weight of a charcoal powder and pasting the mixture with a glue; and molding the obtained paste at a high temperature and at a high pressure into various shape and various size. Preferably the glue is prepared by adding an arrowroot starch to a biodegradable wheat flour.
