Disclosed is a heart rate activity detecting method based on motion images, the method includes the following steps: tracking a moving object determining a preset brightness based on an environment state capturing an image of the moving object to generate a corresponding RGB color space, and converting the RGB color space to an image color spaces with an adjustable brightness adjusting the brightness of the image color space according to the preset brightness to generate a corrected brightness image and converting the corrected brightness image to a corrected brightness RGB color space for calculating the heart rate activity of the moving object. The present invention can achieve the light source is unstable by adjusting the brightness of the motion images, and can calculate the heart rate activity of the moving object according to the motion images.
