An irrigation device for promoting deep root growth of a plant. The device may comprise: a tube and a hose. The first end of the tube may connect to a water source. A second end of the tube may be substantially confined within the hose. The tube may pass through a first end of the hose. The first end of the hose may be closed around the tube, such that the tube may be kept substantially in place and such that water from the water source may be substantially prevented from exiting out of the first end of the hose. The second end of the hose may be closed, such that water from the water source may be prevented from exiting out of the second end of the hose.
