PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-irradiation type tooth-whitening composition, a tooth-whitening kit, or a tooth-whitening method with a higher whitening effect.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided a tooth-whitening composition comprising tungsten oxide and water. Preferably, the composition comprises a transition metal other than tungsten. The transition metal is preferably copper. According to the present invention, as another embodiment thereof, there is provided a tooth-whitening kit comprising such a tooth-whitening composition and a light irradiator having an emission peak at 440 to 490 nm.
