A device for producing biscuit mixture shapes has a plurality of pick up devices extending vertically downwardly from a vertically and laterally moveable support. Each pick up device is rotatable about its vertical axis and includes a tubular lower end containing a recess for receiving biscuit mixture from a tray of biscuit mixture positioned beneath the pick up devices. Each pick up device also includes an ejector for depositing a formed portion of biscuit mixture from the recess onto a baking sheet. In operation, the pick up devices move downwardly into the biscuit mixture. While in contact with the mixture, they are rotated about their vertical axes and also moved a small distance laterally relative to the biscuit mixture in the tray. The pick up devices are then moved upwardly out of the biscuit mixture in the tray and moved laterally to a position over a baking sheet where formed portions of biscuit mixture are deposited on the baking sheet.
