PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a new lactic acid bacterium, wherein the bacterium has syneresis or precipitation-inhibiting effect on a culture material such as beverages, does not negatively affect on the sensory characteristics of the culture material such as beverages, and is inexpensive in its production cost a beverage using the lactic acid bacterium and a production method thereof.

SOLUTION: Beverages in which precipitation is inhibited can be obtained by using a lactic acid bacterium strain in which acid formation is fast in the range of intermediate-temperature.
