PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-in-water type emulsified composition having excellent preservation stability of emulsion even in low viscosity formulation and no slippery feeling during application and giving smoothness to a skin after application.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided an oil-in-water type emulsified composition containing a component (a), a component (b), a component (c), and a component (d). Here, the content of the component (a) is 0.01 to 3 mass%, the content of the component (b) is 0.1 to 50 mass%, and the content of the component (c) is 1 to 15 mass%. The content of component (d) is 32 to 98 mass%. The component (a) is naturally derived polypeptide and has 15 mass% TCA (trichloroacetic acid) solubility of 20 to 60% and the content of BCAA (branched amino acid) in the total amino acid composition is 10 to 25 mol%. The component (b) is an oil agent liquefied at 25°C. The component (c) is a trivalent to hexavalent alcohol of carbon number of 3 to 6.
