PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tea beverage produced by using only components originated from tea, and having a bitter astringent taste without accompanying other unpleasant taste while having flavor originally possessed by tea.SOLUTION: The bitter astringent taste without accompanying other unpleasant taste can be added while maintaining the flavor originally possessed by the tea without increasing the amount of catechin by adding powdery tea leaves of Benifuki to tea extract. Especially, a green tea beverage having the bitter astringent taste without accompanying other unpleasant taste, and providing excellent flavor can be obtained by adding finely pulverized powdery tea leaves of the Benifuki to a green tea extract as a tea extract base.
