The invention relates to an architectural cladding kit; and a method of preparing architectural masonry slips for subsequent attachment to a vertical or non-vertical substrate (10). The cladding kit employs a plurality of joint brackets (12) having a base (12a) and two free ends (12d, 12e). The joint brackets engage with a plurality of substantially rectangular masonry slips 16, each slip including an outer face (20); an inner face (18); two oppositely directed edge faces (22, 24) each having a length and depth dimension; and a slot (30) formed in each edge face. The joint bracket (12) is directly or indirectly attachable to a substrate (10) which may include a building structure. Each free end (12d, 12e) of the joint bracket (12) is adapted for engagement within the slot (30) formed in an edge face (22, 24) of two opposed masonry slips (16) which are attached to the substrate (10) by an adhesive. The joint brackets (12) thereby ensure that the masonry slips cannot fall to the ground even if the adhesive conn
