PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter assembly capable of easily inserting a catheter into a blood vessel. A catheter assembly 10A has a catheter 12, a catheter hub 14 fixed to a proximal end of the catheter 12, a hollow inner needle 16 removably inserted into the catheter 12, and a finger hook 30. It includes a portion, a guide wire 20 slidably inserted into the inner needle 16, and a wire operating member 22 having a convex portion (concave and convex shape 41) and connected to the guide wire 20. The finger hook protrusion 30 is arranged in front of the convex portion in the initial state.
