To provide a catheter assembly which is easy to operate and can effectively suppress bending of an inner needle in puncture.SOLUTION: A catheter assembly 10A includes a needle support portion 20 that supports an inner needle 16 through a catheter 12 on the leading end side beyond a catheter hub 14； and a hub operation part 24 for operating the catheter hub 14. The needle support portion 20 has a pair of support arms 42 openable and closable in a left and right direction, and a restraining portion 44 capable of restraining the pair of arms 42 in a closed state and releasing the restraint.
