PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter assembly capable of suppressing bending of a catheter and an inner needle due to puncture while ensuring the mobility of the catheter, and allowing the user to operate the catheter satisfactorily without discomfort. A catheter assembly (10) has a hollow catheter (12), a catheter hub (14) for fixing and holding the catheter (12), and a needle tip (16a), and the inside of the catheter (12). It is provided with an inner needle (16) that is removably inserted into the catheter and a needle hub (18) that fixedly holds the inner needle (16). Further, the catheter assembly (10) includes a catheter operating member (20) capable of operating the relative movement of the catheter (12) with respect to the internal needle (16).
