A method of making a tea tablet by mixing tea powder, starch, vitamin C or herbal powder and then tabletting is provided. The product has efficacy of tea and herbs and long-term preservative properties. The tea tablet is prepared by the steps consisting of: mixing 100 parts by weight of tea powder with a size of 50micrometer or less, 2 to 5 parts by weight of starch, 0.001 to 0.1 parts by weight of vitamin C and additionally 15 to 33 parts by weight of herbal powder; and then tabletting at a pressure of 3 to 7kg/cm^2 for 1 to 2min. The tea powder contains unfermented tea, semi-fermented tea and fully fermented tea. The herbal powder contains pine needles, Lycii Radicis Cortex, Ginseng Radix and Corni Fructus.
