PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aquaculture rope for shellfish which achieves a suitable fluid state by moderately receiving influence of tide and further can moderately adjust the orientation of shellfish.SOLUTION: An aquaculture rope 1 is a cross rope braided by using multiple braiding threads 40 and loop forming threads 50 around a core material 30, where an overall specific gravity is 1.02 or more. A core material is formed to have a specific gravity of less than 1.02 by single or multiple materials. The braiding thread is formed substantially to have an oblong cross section by a synthetic resin with a specific gravity of less than 1.02. The loop forming thread is formed by a synthetic resin with a specific gravity of 1.02 or more. A portion of a loop 20 formed by drawing the loop forming thread has a horizontal portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】 潮流の影響を適度に受けて好適な流動状態を実現し、さらに貝の向きを適度に調整し得る貝類の養殖用ロープを提供する。【解決手段】 養殖用ロープ１は、芯材３０の周辺に、複数の編組用糸４０とループ形成用糸５０を使用して編組したクロスロープであり、全体の比重を１．０２以上としている。芯材は、単一または複数の材料によって比重を１．０２未満に構成されている。編組用糸は、比重が１．０２未満の合成樹脂によって断面略楕円形に構成されている。ループ形成用糸は、比重が１．０２以上の合成樹脂によって構成されている。ループ形成用糸が引き出されて形成されるループ２０の一部は水平な部分を有している。【選択図】 図１
