A fluid dispensing device triggered by inhalation, comprising a reservoir (100) and a valve (200) for selectively dispensing the fluid, said device comprising: - an arming member (800) movable on the one hand between a rest position and a loaded position, and secondly between said loaded position and a dispensing position under the effect of a compressed spring, said arming member (800) having a toothing (810), - blocking means (500) for locking said arming member in said loaded position, - a triggering system controlled by inhalation to release said blocking means (500), - a tank support member (1000) attached to said tank (100) and having a cam opening (1003), and - a meshing wheel (900) having a toothed projection (910) cooperating with said toothing (810), and a cam projection (920) cooperating with said cam opening (1 003), said toothed projection (910) being centered with respect to the axis of rotation of said wheel (900) and said cam projection (920) being off-axis with respect to said axis of rotation, said meshing wheel (900) making a complete revolution when said arming member (800) moves from its loaded position to its dispensing position, so that said cam projection (920) performs a circular movement causing the axial displacement back and forth of said tank support member (1000), with axial displacement to actuate said valve (200) and axial displacement in the opposite direction to return the valve to the rest position.
