Filling tube (1) for a food processing apparatus of the type comprising a cutting disc that cuts or chops the food present at the base of a filling tube (1), comprising a pushing piston (8) that presses the food against the disc. The piston (8) is connected to a lever (7) through a crankshaft mechanism. The piston (8) is guided by a series of semi-guides (11,13) arranged along the stroke of the piston (8), there being at least one fixed semi-guide (13) attached to the inner walls of the tube (1) and one moving semi-guide (11) that moves together with the piston (8).
