PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting machine capable of properly planting ball seeds in the farm or mulching sheet openings. SOLUTION: The planting machine includes: a pair of endless elements 71, left and right of a traveling machine body, constructed so as to be synchronously driven with the traveling back and forth; a ball seed holder unit 73 with a plurality of holders 78 arranged in parallel to one another to hold ball seeds, wherein the holders 78 are transversely pivoted at predetermined intervals on the endless elements 71; an opening unit 74 installed beneath the holder unit 73 and has an opener 79 for boring at predetermined points on a mulching sheet 9; and an extruder 77 functioning to press and plant ball seeds on the farm when the holder unit 73 and the opening unit 74 come to the lowermost end. In the planting machine, respective fitting frames 96 and 95 for the holder unit 73 and the opening unit 74 are arranged in parallel to each other vertically, and the opening/closing driving unit 76 for the opener 79 is installed in between the ball seed holder unit 73 and the opening unit 74.
