PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problematic points in that the transmission mechanism is complex and it is difficult to fill a planting holder by an operator while driving, and bulbs can not be planted in a right direction or position since the planting holder performs a parabola like movement. SOLUTION: The planting machine for bulbs such as garlic etc., includes a traveling frame 10, a moving frame 11 capable of moving in front and rear traveling direction by leaving from the engagement with the traveling frame 10, a bulb-planting holder 4, a holder-reversing means 6 for reversing the bulb-planting holder 4, a means 7 for vertically transferring the holder for transferring the bulb-planting holder 4 in perpendicular direction and a bulb-planting means 9 for planting the bulbs. The bulb-planting holder 4 stops at a planting position and does not perform advancing travel against the advancing travel of the traveling frame 10 accompanying with the advancing travel of a traveling device 2 during the actions of pushing out the filled bulb from the holder and planting by the bulb-planting holder 4.
