The apparatus for reduction of the dioxin content of food materials involves raw material with an oil content preheated, followed by separation into a solid material phase with reduced oil and water content and a fluid phase containing oil. The fluid phase containing oil is then separated into a slurry phase and a cleaned fluid phase containing oil. The cleaned fluid phase containing oil is then separated into a clean oil phase, which is separated as product, and an adhesive water phase. This latter phase is then consolidated to an adhesive water concentrate, which is joined with the solid material phase with reduced oil and water content and the slurry, then to be dried. The dried material is then taken out as product, which is suitable as food material. An oil with a low dioxin content is then mixed with one or more of the preceding phases and added to the dried material product.
