PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for raising an insect and conversion into compost designed to treat livestock excreta utilizing a feeding habit of the insect, raise the insect, utilize an insect body for a feed or feed raw material, and utilize a degraded material for a soil conditioner and organic fertilizer because a change into a special occupation is brought about to develop group feeding in recent years and there is a tendency toward a lower ratio in which the livestock excreta are returned to an agricultural land and effectively utilized and toward conversion into wastes though livestock excrements have formerly been composted, and effectively and thoroughly utilized.
SOLUTION: The scale of livestock industry is enlarged, and even the excrements such as the excreta come to be rejected in large amounts while environmental standards become severer in recent years. When a large amount of compost produced in conventional compost production is dispersed and utilized, distribution cost becomes a burden, and the use of fossil fuels results by a combustion treatment. There is provided the apparatus designed to treat the livestock excreta utilizing the feeding habit of the insect, utilize a cascade utilizing the insect body and compost, lay and spread the livestock excreta over a raising vessel, implant eggs of the insect, raise larvae, and separate the insect body by a habit of escaping from the vessel.
