The invention relates to a device (2) for applying a determined quantity of a manure treating substance to manure, comprising: - a container (3) for containing the substance； - a conduit (7, 9, 17) which is connected on one side to the container (3) and extends on the other into a space (10) containing the manure； - distributing means (16) connected to the conduit (7, 9, 17) for the purpose of distributed application of the substance over the manure； - a dosing device (20, 22) for dosing the determined quantity of the substance, and - pump means (12, 13) for pumping the determined quantity of the substance out of the container (7) and for applying the determined quantity of the substance via the distributing means (16). The invention further relates to the use of such a device and method for applying a determined quantity of a manure treating substance to manure, and to manure to which a determined quantity of a manure treating substance has been applied.
