The invention relates to a saw chain (10) for a the cutting device (42) of a tree-handling device (40), which saw chain (10) includes links (20) connected to each other by connector elements (19) f in such a way that the saw chain is an endless loop, which can be arranged to circulate in a groove (22) arranged in a guide bar (11). As the links (20), the saw chain includes tooth links (21) and drive links (12). The tooth links include a cutting tooth (13), in which is a cutting edge (24). In front of it is empty space up to the next tooth link.
